Privacy Policy

Financial companies choose how they share your personal information. Federal law gives consumers the right to limit some but not all sharing. Federal law also requires Waypoint to tell you how it collects, shares and protects your personal information. Please read this notice carefully to understand what Waypoint does.

The types of personal information that Waypoint collects can include Social Security number, income, assets, investment experience, account transactions, retirement assets, tax information, and account numbers.

To protect a client’s personal information from unauthorized access and use, Waypoint uses security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings. These measures apply equally to current and former clients.

All financial companies need to share customers’ personal information to run their everyday business. Below, we list the reasons why financial companies can share their customers’ personal information, the reasons Waypoint chooses to share personal information and whether you can limit this sharing.

From time to time, Waypoint will share information for our everyday business purposes, such as to process transactions in your account or service your relationship. For example, we may need to discuss a client’s account with their custodian or with a service provider, such as an insurance company. We also share information with other co-clients that have entered a joint account agreement with you and Waypoint. You cannot limit this type of sharing because it is necessary for us to operate.

We may share your personal information with non-affiliates (such as an independent adviser) so that they can market to you. You can limit this type of sharing by calling us at 203 803 0462 and we will honor your request as soon as is reasonably possible. If you are a new client, we can begin sharing your information thirty (30) days from the date we sent this notice. When you are no longer our client, we continue to share your information as described in this notice. However, you can contact us at any time to limit our sharing.

Federal law also allows Waypoint to disclose clients’ information if Waypoint is: (1) previously authorized by the client to disclose information to third parties, including, but not limited to, clients’ other agents (e.g., attorney, accountant, insurance agent, broker-dealer, investment adviser, account custodian.); (2) required to do so by judicial or regulatory process; or (3) permitted to do so in accordance with the federal law.

Should you have any questions regarding this notice, please contact Chris Pepin.

Terms of Use

By accessing this site, you signify your agreement with and understanding of the following Terms of Use and Legal Information pertaining to both this site and any material contained herein. This site is offered to you conditioned on your acceptance without modification of the terms, conditions, and notices contained herein. Your use of this site constitutes your agreement to all such terms, conditions, and notices. Waypoint reserve the right to change the terms, conditions, and notices under which this site is offered.

The Waypoint entities listed above are SEC registered investment advisors located in Connecticut. Waypoint and its representatives are in compliance with the current filing requirements imposed upon SEC registered investment advisors by those states in which Waypoint maintains clients. Waypoint may only transact business in those states in which it is registered, or qualifies for an exemption or exclusion from registration requirements. Waypoint’s web site is limited to the dissemination of general information pertaining to its advisory services, together with access to additional investment-related information, publications, and links. Accordingly, the publication of Waypoint’s web site on the Internet should not be construed by any consumer and/or prospective client as Waypoint’s solicitation to effect, or attempt to effect transactions in securities, or the rendering of personalized investment advice for compensation, over the Internet. Any subsequent, direct communication by Waypoint with a prospective client shall be conducted by a representative that is either registered or qualifies for an exemption or exclusion from registration in the state where the prospective client resides. For information pertaining to the registration status of Waypoint, please contact the SEC or the state securities law administrators for those states in which Waypoint maintains a notice filing. A copy of Waypoint’s current written disclosure statement discussing Waypoint’s business operations, services, and fees is available from Waypoint upon written request. Waypoint does not make any representations or warranties as to the accuracy, timeliness, suitability, completeness, or relevance of any information prepared by any unaffiliated third party, whether linked to Waypoint’s web site or incorporated herein, and takes no responsibility therefore. All such information is provided solely for convenience purposes only and all users thereof should be guided accordingly.

Past performance may not be indicative of future results. Therefore, no current or prospective client should assume that future performance of any specific investment, investment strategy (including the investments and/or investment strategies recommended or undertaken by Waypoint) or product made reference to directly or indirectly by Waypoint in its web site, or indirectly via a link to an unaffiliated third party web site, will be profitable or equal the corresponding indicated performance level(s). Different types of investments involve varying degrees of risk, and there can be no assurance that any specific investment will either be suitable or profitable for a client or prospective client’s investment portfolio. Historical performance results for investment indices and/or categories generally do not reflect the deduction of transaction and/or custodial charges, the deduction of an investment management fee, nor the impact of taxes, the incurrence of which would have the effect of decreasing historical performance results.

Waypoint’s asset management programs generally involve above-average portfolio turnover, which could negatively impact upon the net after-tax gain experienced in taxable accounts.

Certain portions of Waypoint’s web site (i.e. newsletters, articles, commentaries, etc.) may contain a discussion of, and/or provide access to, Waypoint’s (and those of other investment and non-investment professionals) positions and/or recommendations as of a specific prior date. Due to various factors, including changing market conditions, such discussion may no longer be reflective of current position(s) and/or recommendation(s). Moreover, no client or prospective client should assume that any such discussion serves as the receipt of, or a substitute for, personalized advice from Waypoint or from any other investment professional. Waypoint are neither attorneys nor accountants, and no portion of the web site content should be interpreted as legal, accounting or tax advice.

To the extent that any client or prospective client utilizes any economic calculator or similar device contained within or linked to Waypoint’s web site, the client and/or prospective client acknowledges and understands that the information resulting from the use of any such calculator/device, is not, and should not be construed, in any manner whatsoever, as the receipt of, or a substitute for, personalized individual advice from Waypoint, or from any other investment professional. Specific information contained in this site has been compiled based upon information obtained from sources Waypoint reasonably believes to be reliable. Such information has not been independently verified and no guarantee, representation or warranty, express or implied is made as to its accuracy, completeness or correctness. Waypoint reserves the right, in its sole discretion and without any obligation, to make improvements to, or correct any error or omissions in any portion of the content of this site and Waypoint shall have no obligation to notify you of any changes. Waypoint owns and maintains this site. Nothing in this site shall be construed as granting, by implication, estoppel or otherwise, any license or right to use any image, trademark, logo or service mark in the site. Anything that you transmit to this site becomes the property of Waypoint, may be used by Waypoint for any lawful purpose, and is further subject to disclosure as deemed appropriate by Waypoint, including to any legal or regulatory authority to which Waypoint is subject. Waypoint reserves all rights with respect to copyright and trademark ownership of all material contained in this site and will enforce such rights to the full extent of the law. This site is for your personal and non-commercial use. You may not modify, copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer, or sell any information, software, products, or services obtained from this site. Links on this site may lead to services or sites not operated by Waypoint and as such Waypoint takes no responsibility for such other sites or services.

Each client and prospective client agrees, as a condition precedent to his/her/its access to Waypoint’s web site, to release and hold harmless Waypoint, its officers, directors, owners, employees and agents from any and all adverse consequences resulting from any of his/her/its actions and/or omissions which are independent of his/her/its receipt of personalized individual advice from Waypoint.
